Have you ever seen a rose lyrics

Have you ever seen a rose o,
My God has and He loves them.

Loves them so much he kissed them each one,
And gave them his color blooms to open wide,
Leaves for to dress,
And thorns for to hurt
To help us to know how he loves, my God.

Ref:
And I’m in love with my God my God’s in love with me
And the more I love you the more I know that I’m in love with my God,
My God my God

Thank you for posting these lyrics. I sang this song when I was in college in the late 1970's. I was in a catholic folk group. It is one of my favorite memories, and I had started to forget the lyrics. Thanks so much for bringing them back to me.

There was another stanza about a baby.
Have you ever seen a baby.
My God has and he loves them,
Slept in a womb,
Was born as a babe.
Cuddled close.
To help us to know how he loves them.
I think there was one about a sheep as well. Can't member it but thank you for posting. I have been thinking of this song since 1969. When we sang it at 8th grade graduation.
